Tony Awards 2011 gained Daniel Radcliffe

Daniel Radcliffe apparently has skills that go beyond the quidditch pitch- he can sing.

Last night at the Tony awards, the Harry Potter star displayed his vocal prowess by singing Brotherhood of Man, one of the songs from Radcliffe’s Broadway show, “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.”

Despite the stellar performance, 21 year old Radcliffe wasn’t even nominated for a Tony, but according to his own words it wasn’t that big of a deal.

“Obviously, it would be incredible to be nominated, but I care much more about [costar] John Larroquette getting a nod for Best Actor. I’d love him to win because he’s so brilliant in our show,” Daniel told Celebuzz last month.

As if on cue, Larroquette- best known for NBC’s Night Court- took home a Tony for Best Actor in a featured role for his part in the musical.

In his acceptance speech, Larroquette thanked Radcliffe by sharing that without him, “I would be sitting at home watching this in my underwear.”

Super 8 by J.J. Abrams

J.J. Abrams' Super 8 opened to a better-than-expected $37 million at the domestic box office after an aggressive 11th hour marketing blitz by Paramount. Including paid previews on Thursday, the period sci-fi pic has earned $38 million in its first four days.

Overseas, Super 8 began rolling out in a handful of markets, grossing $6.7 million for a worldwide launch of $44.7 million. The biggest territory was Australia, where the movie earned $2.7 million.

Super 8—produced by Steven Spielberg —had been the focus of intense speculation because of soft tracking and a marketing campaign that left the film's plot shrouded in mystery. Tracking showed the Super 8 opening to $25 million to $30 million domestically, despite the pedigree of Abrams and Spielberg.

Paramount's efforts to whip up buzz on the eve of the film's release seem to have paid off. On Thursday, the studio partnered with Twitter to host paid previews across the country, preceded by free sneaks Wednesday in 11 cities.

Ultimately, Super 8's performed on par with sleeper-hit District 9, which opened to $37.3 million at the domestic box office in August 2009.

“I think we accomplished what we set out to do. It was never positioned as a big blockbuster, but as a smaller movie,” Paramount vice chair Rob Moore said. “We used the sneaks to infuse the marketplace with great word-of-mouth, and it certainly looks like it paid off.”
Paramount maintains Super 8 didn't need a big opening, since it cost $50 million to produce, far less than other summer studio films.

Super 8 drew a B+ CinemaScore, while 71% of the audience was over the age of 25. That wasn't a surprise to Paramount, since the movie is Abrams' homage to the Steven Spielberg films he grew up. Males made up 56% of the audience.

The movie played in 3,379 theaters, including 239 Imax locations. Imax grosses clocked in at $4.4 million, a strong start and representing 12% of total earnings.

Set in 1979, Super 8 tells the story of a group of kids who are filming a home movie when there's a violent train crash. When unexplained events start to threaten their town, they begin to suspect something inhuman escaped from the train. The film stars Joel Courtney, Elle Fanning, Kyle Chandler , Ryan Lee, Riley Griffiths, Gabriel Basso and Zach Mills.

Super 8 held a comfortable lead over 20th Century Fox's X-Men: First Class, which grossed $25 million in its second weekend for a cume of $98.9 million. The prequel fell 55%--the second best hold for any X-Men pic besides X2 : X-Men United.

“It's a high quality original film, and has great playability,” Fox senior vice president of domestic distribution Chris Aronson.

Two films jumped the $200 million mark over the weekend—Warner Bros.' The Hangover Part II and Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
Hangover II, placing No. 3 for the frame, fell only 41% to an estimated $18.5 million for a domestic cume of $216.6 million.

On Stranger Tides grossed $10.4 million domestically for a cume of $208.8 million. Overseas, the 3D tentpole grossed $41.1 milion for the frame, bringing the movie's international total to a massive $678 million and worldwide tally to $886.8 million.

At the domestic box office, On Stranger Tides came in No. 5. Placing No. 4 was DreamWorks Animation and Paramount's Kung Fu Panda 2, which grossed $16.6 million for a cume of $126.9 million.

After Super 8, the weekend's other new nationwide release new was Relativity Media and Smokewood Entertainment's Judy Moody and the NOT Bummer Summer, which debuted to a soft $6.1 million. The film, based on the bestselling book series, was distributed by Relativity, although Smokewood paid for all marketing costs in addition to fully financing the $20 million movie.

Among specialty titles, Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris turned in strong results as it expanded to 944 theaters, grossing $6.1 million for a stellar cume of $14.2 million. Midnight placed No. 8 for the weekend.

Terrence Malick's The Tree of Life scored the highest screen average of the frame, grossing $875,126 from 47 theaters for an average $18,620 and coming in No. 11 overall. From Fox Searchlight, Tree of Life has now earned $2.4 million domestically. On Friday, the film expands again and will be playing in 114 theaters.

Focus Features' saw good results as it expanded Mike Mills' Beginners, starring Ewan McGregor and Christopher Plummer, into 19 theaters. The dramedy grossed $254,587 for a per theaters average of $13,399 and cume of $464,856 in its second weekend.
Domestic box office revenues were down roughly 7% from a year ago.

Justin Beiber girlfriend, Selena Gomez, was hospitalized Thursday for stomach discomfort and a head ache and this has spun into pregnancy rumors online. Justin and Selena have also been captured in pictures in some very serious public displays of affection, which have also fueled this fire that the two teens are sexually active.

With Selena in the hospital undergoing tests, Justin continues to share his affection for his girlfriend with public tweets to the 18 year-old Disney star. As the website, Hollywood Dame points out, these rumors that Selena is pregnant may have a lot to do with what people have seen lately of Justin and Selena in pictures.

The two pictures that were the biggest offenders, really tell the story of how serious this relationship has gotten. The picture where Selena actually straddles Justin on the beach while wearing a bikini and they are engaged in a passionate kiss is not something that young kids should see their idol doing. Then the picture of Bieber grabbing Gomez’s rear-end in the heat of passion is another display in public that is inappropriate. This type of public behavior is not appropriate for anyone while out in public, not just Hollywood celebrities.

Whether Justin and Selena like it or not, they are role models for young teens and tweens today. This population makes up the majority of their fan base. Now that Bieber’s fans have made him very successful, he does have a moral obligation to live up to this clean, good kid, image that parents have spent millions of dollars on when purchasing CD’s DVD’s, concert tickets and Justin Bieber memorabilia. He needs to remember that it is the parents that pay for their kids to idolize and participate in Bieber Fever. Parents are not going to like this new image the teen heart throb is portraying.

Kids imitate their idols and these recent actions seen between Bieber and Gomez are not something parents will be happy about seeing their kids engage in. Bieber has conveyed a very clean cut image up until the last month or so, with his innocent upbeat songs of young teen love, his performances carry a “G” rating and he even sports a tattoo that says Jesus in Hebrew to denote his religious beliefs.

The same holds true for Selena, who comes from clean cut Disney stock, these two have the seal of approval from most parents. While Justin and Selena might find the urge overwhelming to paw each other in public, they have a responsibility to young fans, which should keep them saving these displays for when they are out of the public eye.

Thriller Jacket is up for auction:Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson's iconic red leather 'Thriller' jacket is up for auction.

The coat – which the late star wore in the iconic 1983 music video which saw him transform into a zombie – is expected to fetch between $200,000 and $400,000 when it is sold in Beverley Hills, California, later this month.

Auctioneers Julien’s said: "We know of no other jacket that is so easily recognisable or one that so altered fashion history. It is the most recognised and significant piece of pop culture.”

The jacket is signed "love Michael Jackson" on its sleeve, and was originally presented to the King of Pop’s designers, Dennis Tompkins and Michael Bush, who worked with him on a number of outfits during his career.

The epic 14-minute 'Thriller' video in which Michael wore the leather coat is regarded as one of the most influential and recognisable in pop culture history and featured a street sequence in which a ghoulish version of the singer danced with zombies.

Other items in the sale include the shirt Michael wore in the video to his duet 'Scream' with sister Janet and a black sequined glove the 'Man in the Mirror' star wore at the 1984 American Music Awards, which it is thought will sell for up to $30,000. Another item is a wig worn by the star, expected to fetch up to $6,000.

The 'Music Icons' sale also features memorabilia from a host of other stars, including a bustier signed by Madonna, a pair of trousers worn by Gene Simmons, a Jaguar car owned by Frank Sinatra and a pair of trainers signed by Britney Spears, as well as items once belonging to Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley.

'Harry Potter & Deathly Hallows Part 2': Watch a New Clip From the Movie

Emma Watson introduced a new clip from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night.

The 30-second clip features Hagrid (Robbie Coltrane) tied up by Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes), who has a face-to-face confrontation with Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe).

"Harry Potter, the boy who lived, come to die," Voldemort says before saying the killing spell "Avada kedavra!"

The movie marks the eighth and final installment in the Harry Potter franchise. It opens July 15.

MTV Movie Awards To Be Presented Sunday In Universal City

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will carry a high of eight nominations into Sunday's presentation of the 2011 MTV Movie Awards, with the thriller Inception a close second with seven nods.

The films were both nominated for best movie, along with Oscar-winner Black Swan, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I and The Social Network.

Harry Potter has six nominations, while The Social Network has five.

The 20th annual MTV Movie Awards -- a slightly off-the-wall ceremony featuring categories such as best kiss and best movie line -- will be presented at Gibson Amphitheatre in a ceremony hosted by Jason Sudeikis.

Eclipse also has nominations for its three leading stars -- Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart -- along with nods for best fight and two for best kiss.

Final Show:Glenn Beck

Back in April, Glenn Beck announced he'd be leaving his show and now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, he's finally set his last day: June 30.
When he announced his original departure, he said he'd continue to "develop and produce a variety of television products for air" on Fox News and other platforms. He's also currently touring the country, because, well, why wouldn't Glenn Beck be touring the country? Anyway, he's heading out. Someone just as crazy will probably take his place, but until then, let's just try to hold back our tears -- a skill that Mr. Beck never seemed to learn.

Major Operation:Princess Eugenie

While on a good deed tour to the U.K.'s world-class Royal National Orthopedic Hospital (RNOH) yesterday, Princess Eugenie revealed a major secret of her own.

At the tender age of 12, the fascinator-sporting daughter of Sarah Ferguson underwent a major operation to correct a curved spine that would have dramatically distorted her appearance, making her a hunchback.

Why did Eugenie finally go public with it yesterday at the hospital?

Because it's the same place where the 21-year-old princess had her surgery performed years ago.

Eugenie had been diagnosed with scoliosis after her curved back was discovered while getting a massage. After determing she needed immediate medical help, surgeons had carefully placed eight-inch pins along her back in a surgery that was supposed to last one hour, but actually took eight. She spent the next three days recovering in intensive care and stayed in the hospital for 10 days, six of them in a wheelchair. She now has a scar on her back from the operation.

Currently a college student at Newcastle University, Eugenie was at the hospital visiting teens who had undergone the same procedure and was trying to raise funding for the facility to rebuild. She said she now considers herself to be a role model for those diagnosed with scoliosis.

"I wouldn't look the way I do, my back would be hunched over," she tells the U.K.'s Telegraph. "I wouldn't be able to talk the way I do about it and help other children who come to me with the same problem." It was a huge part of my life when I was 12, so young. Children can see me and know that the operation works."

A section of the RNOH will be renovated and will house kids being treated at the hospital. It will be named after Eugenie.

‘Fear Factor’: 5 Things to Know About the Reboot

When NBC revived Fear Factor this week, the network gave executive producer Matt Kunitz specific marching orders. “They only wanted it if they were going to get bigger and better than before,” Kunitz tells The Hollywood Reporter. For a reality competition series that last aired original episodes in 2006, fulfilling those instructions won’t be difficult considering how far technology has evolved in that time.
Here are five things to know about the new Fear Factor.

It will be bigger and better. A good jumping off point for Fear Factor 2.0 will be the show’s final stunt that involved contestants dangling from helicopter unscrewing grenades off a moving Army truck heading off an aircraft carrier. “It’s been six years since we shot Fear Factor and in that time technology has come a long way,” Kunitz says. “Our ability to fling, drop and shoot people is much greater.” The falls, for example, stand to be dramatically different. “With the new technology like accelerators and all the different tools, I can drop somebody from a 50-story building at full speed -- basically freefall -- until they are 5 feet above concrete then slow them down,” he says. “Having that new tool is going to elevate the level of what we can do and the fear that we can cause someone.”

Gross is good. Insect consumption will still be a factor. “We’re still going to do gross because that’s the water-cooler part of the show,” Kunitz says. As grand as the launch off the aircraft carrier was, people still want to talk about contestants eating bugs or being placed in a coffin full of rats. “That stuff still gets people talking and we would be crazy not to include that.” Kunitz says the skin-crawling element will comprise a third of each episode. “In a typical episode, there are three segments and two will be big Hollywood stunts with one a gross stunt.”

The creative team will return. Stunt coordinator Pat Romano, who boarded the reality series in its sixth and then-final season, has experience on the big-screen stunt-rigging side with credits including Rush Hour 3, The Number 23 and Black Hawk Down. “When we brought Pat on in the last season, the show changed dramatically and got much better,” Kunitz says. “He comes from the movie world and brings a real cinematic element to the really big fantastic stunts. We were just getting really good at [big stunts] when we went off the air. You’re definitely going to see more high-risk and bigger cinematic stunts.” And while the reboot is still in the early stages, Kunitz also notes that there’s a “good chance” host Joe Rogan will return. “That’s a conversation we’ll be having very soon.” Also returning: director Rupert Thompson.

It’s a family show. One of the things Kunitz enjoys most about Fear Factor is that parents and kids can watch it -- like his other show, Wipeout -- together. “It’s become my brand,” he notes. However, don’t look for kids to be featured in the reboot. “We’ve featured families before but you can’t go as wild and crazy with a kid as you can with an adult -- and we want to be wild and crazy and take it right to the limit and push it,” he says.

It will look better. When Fear Factor ended original episodes in 2006, there were only a few scripted series being broadcast in HD. “We’re going to be in HD for the first time,” Kunitz notes.

Pink & Carey Hart Welcome Baby Girl

The singer, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore, gave birth to a daughter on Thursday and announced the news via Twitter.

“We are ecstatic to welcome our new beautiful healthy happy baby girl, Willow Sage Hart. She’s gorgeous, just like her daddy. #beyondblessed,” Pink Tweeted referring to husband Carey Hart.

On Wednesday she sent a vague message to her Twitter followers, writing, “New Moon in Gemini today : a good time to start something new…. Also called the Honey Moon. #intoit,”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Pink believes her husband will make an excellent father.

“[Carey] is so excited,” Pink told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush in a November 2010 interview. “He’s wanted to be a dad since – I mean, we’ve been together nine years on and off, and he brought it up two weeks after we met. So, he’s wonderful.

“He’s going to be a really, really cute daddy,” she added.

Pink confirmed her pregnancy on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on November 15, telling the talk show host, “I’m eating for two these days.”

Baby Willow is the couple’s first child. Pink and Carey first met in 2001 and wed in 2006. They separated in 2008 and in February 2010 announced they were together again.

TITANIC WAS A PRECIOUS MOVIE OF HOLLYWOOD

The acclaimed Hollywood epic "Titanic," will hit movie theaters worldwide in a 3D version next year, Hollywood studios and its director James Cameron said on Thursday.

The commercial and critical success, originally released in 1997, will be re-released on April 6, 2012, in time to mark the 100th anniversary of the doomed passenger liner setting sail from England on April 10, 1912, said Paramount Pictures, Twentieth Century Fox and Lightstorm Entertainment.

"There's a whole generation that's never seen 'Titanic' as it was meant to be seen, on the big screen. And this will be 'Titanic' as you've never seen it before, digitally remastered at 4K (resolution) and painstakingly converted to 3D," Cameron said in a statement issued by the studios and distributors.

The director added: "With the emotional power intact and the images more powerful than ever, this will be an epic experience for fans and newcomers alike."

"Titanic," starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet won 11 Oscars, including best picture and best director for Cameron.

It grossed more than $1.8 billion worldwide and for years held the record as the most successful movie ever, before being overtaken by Cameron's 2009 3D blockbuster "Avatar" that has a lifetime gross of more than $2.7 billion.

A century ago-the Titanic

A century ago, the people of Belfast celebrated one of their proudest days — the launching of the supposedly unsinkable Titanic. The Northern Ireland capital commemorated that bittersweet anniversary Tuesday with cheers from schoolchildren in Edwardian period costumes, the tooting of foghorns, and a hymn-singing dockside choir.

The doomed Titanic was launched into Belfast Lough on May 31, 1911. Ten months later, more than 1,500 of its 2,200 passengers and crew drowned or froze to death awaiting rescue after it struck an iceberg and sank on its maiden voyage to New York City.

For decades Belfast didn't publicize its status as the birthplace of the world's most infamous maritime disaster. But ever since James Cameron's film "Titanic" became a worldwide blockbuster in 1997, Belfast has been working to build a new community and tourism hub on its once-derelict docklands, now christened Titanic Quarter and one of the biggest construction sites in Europe.

"As soon as you say 'Titanic,' most people think of the sinking," said the Rev. Chris Bennett, a Protestant minister who officiated at Tuesday's ceremony.

"But here in Belfast we're trying to recapture that idea that the Titanic is something to be proud of. This fabulous, biggest man-made moving object in the world was built right here," said Bennett, whose Church of Ireland parish holds open-air services each Sunday on the docks and is raising funds for a boat to serve as its full-time church.

At 12:13 p.m., the Belfast crowd was told to clap, shout and cheer for exactly 62 seconds. That's the amount of time it took the Titanic's 882-foot (269-meter) hull to slide from its slipway into the water for the first time. Boats in the harbour blew their horns as a single flare was fired into the sky.

While Tuesday's ceremony recalled the launch of the Titanic, only the ship's hull and its 3 million rivets — suspected now of metallurgical weaknesses that contributed to its sinking — were put to the test that day. It took another 10 months for Harland & Wolff workers at a nearby dock to fit the ship's four smokestacks, decks, rooms and myriad luxury touches.

Behind Tuesday's celebrations is a determined decade-long push to transform the former shipyards from an industrial wasteland into Belfast's sharpest new residential and tourist district, a 1 billion-pound ($1.65 billion) project.

A new Titanic Quarter visitors centre expected to open before next year's 100th anniversary of the ship's sinking will focus on the liner's 1909-12 construction. Belfast City Council hopes it will attract 400,000 tourists annually to Belfast, a city of just 700,000.

The Ulster Folk and Transport Museum east of Belfast also launched a major exhibit Tuesday of artifacts from the Titanic's construction and wreck.

Sean Kingston has been transferred from the trauma unit to the intensive care unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital -- where he is in critical condition, but has been stabilized ... this according to his rep.

Kingston and a female friend were injured in Miami last night in a jet ski accident. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Kingston's rep tells us, "Sean's family thanks everyone for their prayers and support during this time."


Hip-hop star Sean Kingston is in critical condition in a Miami Beach hospital after being injured in a bad jet skiing accident Sunday evening ... TMZ has confirmed.

According to Local10.com, the "Beautiful Girls" singer had a female passenger on board his watercraft when it crashed into a bridge (see below) around 6:00 PM local time. We're told both Kingston and his passenger were rescued from the water by a good Samaritan.

The Miami Fire Dept. responded to the scene and both Kingston and his female passenger were transported to nearby Jackson Memorial Hospital. We're told Kingston's injuries are so severe, he is being treated in the trauma ward.

We're told ... at this moment, officials do not believe alcohol played a role in the crash.

Kingston's rep tells TMZ .... "Sean Kingston was in an accident today. No further details are available at the moment. He and his family thank everyone for the well-wishes."

Officials are investigating the cause of the crash.

Sean Kingston in Critical Condition After Jet Ski Accident

A jet ski crash in Miami has landed hip hopper Sean Kingston in critical condition.

The "Beautiful Girls" crooner reportedly crashed his jet ski into the bridge connecting Palm Island to the MacArthur Causeway Sunday night, according to Gossip Cop.
While the extent of Kingston's injuries has not been released, he is reportedly being treated in the trauma ward of Jackson Memorial Hospital.

A female passenger on Kingston's jet ski was also hospitalized.

"Sean Kingston was in a accident today," Kingston's publicist, Joseph Carozza, said in a statement to E! News. "No further details are available at the moment. He and his family thank everyone for the well wishes."

Shakira Considering Album In Arabic

Colombian pop singer Shakira said Saturday she would one day like to sing pop songs, if not an entire album, in Arabic.

The native Spanish speaker, who also has global hits in English, was speaking at a news conference in Morocco, where she was headlining the Mawazine World Rhythms music festival.

“It would be a challenge to do an album in Arabic. I would first have to learn Arabic,” she said. “I am completely open to that experience. … At some point I would love that to happen in my life.”

Born in Colombia of Syrian origin, Shakira said she grew up listening to the Arab world’s premier divas of the 20th century, Egyptian Umm Kalthum and Lebanese Fairuz.

Shakira often uses eastern dance, also known as belly dancing, in her acts, and her hit Spanish language single “Ojas Asi” relies heavily on a Middle Eastern melody. Her eastern origins and musical influences have made her popular throughout the Middle East.

She admitted, however, that she only speaks a few words of Arabic, including “ateeni boosa” or give me a kiss, provoking laughter among the mostly Moroccan crowd of journalists.

Morocco’s 10th-annual Mawazine festival of world music concluded Saturday after eight days of music that saw bands from 60 countries, including Kanye West, Lionel Ritchie, Egypt’s Amr Diab and Senegal’s Youssou N’Dour.

Who Will Work With Lars von Trier After His Hitler Remarks?

The "Melancholia" director has survived accusations of anti-Americanism and misogyny, but his Nazi comments could finally sink his career.

As they say in the old country, Oy vey, gevalt!" said the British publicist for Melancholia, succinctly capturing the exasperation everyone connected to Lars von Trier's latest film feels after the Danish director's now-infamous comments at the Cannes Film Festival, in which he jokingly called himself a Nazi and said he "sympathized with Hitler, a little bit."

The quips set off a firestorm that led to Cannes officials banning von Trier from the festival, though his film remained in Competition and won Kirsten Dunst the best actress trophy. The Anti-Defamation League condemned him, and Melancholia's Argentine distributor said it would not release the film.

Von Trier has based his career on shocking both audiences and the press. But European cinema's favorite enfant terrible might have finally gone too far.

"I know it will be harder now to get financing and to get the actors I want," von Trier admits to THR.

The director has always been able to attract A-listers to his difficult, often disturbing films; actors are drawn to his ability to eke out powerful performances. Von Trier has cleverly cast the likes of Nicole Kidman (Dogville), Willem Dafoe (Antichrist) and Dunst to give his pictures wider appeal and to secure bigger budgets.

But it's doubtful whether stars will risk being linked to von Trier in the immediate future. The director says emphatically that he "is definitely not Mel Gibson" and denies accusations of anti-Semitism. But the taint remains.

So far, many of von Trier's business partners are sticking by him. Melancholia's distributors in the U.K., France and Germany have no plans to drop the film.

"You have to separate what Lars said from the movie, which we think is one of the great works of European cinema," says Markus Zimmer, managing director at Melancholia's German distributor, Concorde. "His comments are just Lars being Lars. He loves being the agent provocateur. But the film is not offensive at all."

U.S. distributor Magnolia -- which, in addition to Melancholia, picked up von Trier's next project, a collaboration with Martin Scorsese, just hours before the fateful Nazi remarks -- has declined comment. Scorsese reps did not respond to requests for comment.

Von Trier, at least, isn't worried about his career.

"It's a pity about the damage this has done to the film and a pity if it has hurt the Cannes Film Festival at all," he says. "But as a filmmaker, I thrive on obstacles. If the obstacle now is I can't raise as much money and I can't go to Cannes, maybe that'll be a good thing for my movies."

S.McLachlan Opens Up About "Devastating" Divorce

Sarah McLachlan's world nearly fell apart when she divorced her drummer Ashwin Sood in 2008 -- but these days, she's finally able to laugh about it.

"Yeah, the marriage part didn't quite work out," the singer tells Spinner. "Apparently that's a bit of an epidemic, so I just make light of it."

 The 43-year-old Grammy winner admits that it wasn't always so easy to find humor in her heartache. "Coming to terms with the fact that my marriage was a failure was devastating and very difficult," she says. "I blamed myself for a lot of things. It took me a very long time to get over it."

"I have amazing friends, great family and two kids, so I just got out of bed everyday and kept moving forward," she continues. "I'm not one to sit and wallow -- I would rather figure out a way around so I can move past it and be at peace with things. I don't like bad feelings gnawing away at me."

"So I've certainly done a lot of growing up in the past couple of years, recognizing bad traits in myself and others."

As a result, the "Angel" singer (and mom to daughters India, 9, and Taja, 3) decided to use the experience as material for her latest album, Laws of Illusion.

"Music has always been incredibly cathartic for me, whether it's writing my own stuff or singing other people's music; it's very freeing. But it did take me a long while to be able to write again because I was just too far down a deep dark hole to do anything," she says. "I had to crawl back up, get some light in and have some objectivity before I could start writing again."

Perhaps having adjusted to the idea of Justin Bieber dating Selena Gomez, Bieber obsessives have found something new to fixate on while Bieber vacations in Hawaii with Gomez.

Some paparazzi shots of a shirtless Bieber have revealed that the 17-year-old pop star is sporting what appear to be two tattoos: one on his waist -- a tiny bird's head -- and one on his ribcage -- the word "Yeshua," or Jesus, written in Hebrew, according to The Daily.

While we don't know the intentions behind Bieber's tattoo, he did visit Israel in April, where he ranted on Twitter about how the paparazzi wouldn't give him the time or space to properly engage with the holy sites.

He has also led a backstage Hebrew prayer before a concert recently, as seen in this video.

Though Bieber is not yet 18, in several U.S. states minors can receive tattoos as long as they have parental consent. Let's hope, though, that Bieber pal Willow Smith doesn't get any ideas.

Jessica Chastain: 'The Tree Of Life' Star Set For Breakout

Jessica Chastain may be the busiest actress in Hollywood people haven't heard of yet. With as many as half a dozen films rolling into theaters in the coming months, she's about to become famous fast.

A veteran stage actress, Chastain's big-screen career has been largely in a holding pattern, with only two of the 11 films she's made in the past four years released so far.

That changes Friday as the Cannes Film Festival winner – Terrence Malick's "The Tree of Life," in which she co-stars with Brad Pitt and Sean Penn – opens theatrically after a long delay while the director continued to tinker with the film.

Some of her other films, among them the Holocaust-revenge thriller "The Debt" with Helen Mirren, were delayed because of distribution troubles, so they now are coming to theaters around the same time as dramas she shot more recently, including this summer's best-seller adaptation "The Help."

Three other Chastain films – "Coriolanus" with Ralph Fiennes, "Take Shelter" with Michael Shannon and "The Fields," reuniting her with "The Debt" co-star Sam Worthington – also are tentatively scheduled to come out by the end of the year.

"I'm just nervous that I'm going to be the newcomer that everyone's sick of, and they don't even know my name. People are like, 'Why is this girl in every single movie I'm seeing this fall?'" Chastain said in an interview at the Cannes Film Festival, where "The Tree of Life" premiered last week, taking the coveted Palme d'Or top prize. "Take Shelter" also screened at Cannes.

Chastain, who is about 30 but will not disclose her exact age, grew up in northern California and dreamed of becoming an actress from about the age of 5, despite her family's expectations that she would grow out of it.

Her father is a fireman, her mother a "stay-at-home mom slash vegan chef," Chastain said, and while they never discouraged her about the prospects of acting, they did not encourage her, either.

Yet Chastain said she continually pestered her mother to take her to Los Angeles so she could audition for commercials. They finally came around after she got into the drama department at Juilliard and earned a scholarship that paid for most of her training.

Maria Shriver's People leaked Baby Story

The Arnold Schwarzenegger baby drama story was leaked to the media by Maria Shriver's own people ... and they did it because Maria was so angry at Arnold, she wanted to do it herself.

TMZ has new information from sources connected to Maria. We're told when Maria found out that Arnold was the father of Mildred Patty Baena's son, she was "hysterical" and wanted to hold a news conference blowing the lid off the scandal.

We're told Maria's friends talked her off a ledge and a plan was eventually hatched to leak the details to the L.A. Times and TMZ.

And we have new information about when Maria found out about the baby. Now we're told Maria learned about Arnold's love child in late April or very early May.

The timeline further supports the story TMZ broke earlier -- that Maria was miserable in her marriage and wanted out for a long time. As we first reported, Maria was looking at pricey L.A. condos back in January with a Beverly Hillls realtor.

Maria has told friends for nearly two years she wanted a divorce but never pulled the trigger. Maria, we're told, is now ready to end the marriage.

As for Arnold, our sources say he's upset Maria was talking to her friends about the scandal. Arnold and his people know the story leaked through Maria's camp.
